for kids
from kids
As with most great ideas, it was during a sleepless night, combined with a moment of madness that led to this becoming a really fun reality.
I don’t have a child psychology degree or any nutritional based education behind me but what I do have is 2 young children who love to get involved.
The past two years have taken its toll on every corner of the planet.
Businesses, families and charities have all been affected in an unprecedented way.
It has, however, also inspired many positive, heart-warming stories of people and communities coming together in support of one another.
It has motivated many great things to grow and here is a perfect example of just that.
This would not have been possible without the help from all the brilliant children and their families involved in this project.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
They are tried, tested and loved recipes that will hopefully delight even the fussiest child.
I really hope you enjoy it.
It has been designed as a book for kids. Let them hold it, touch it, look at it and enjoy it.
All profits go to charity.
There is nothing more daunting than cooking with kids. The thought of the mess alone is enough to put anyone off but they absolutely love it and if you prep the ingredients in advance then it makes it a little easier.
Each recipe has been submitted as a firm family favourite. The parents enjoy making them and the kids enjoy eating them. They are quick and easy to do (with or without the children) and resulting in something that will be eaten by everyone.
The sooner children start having the chance to feel, touch, smell and create the food they eat, the more enjoyable mealtimes will become. It's all about experience and learning.
All proceeds go to charity.
Each book has it's own designated charity of which you can find more details below.
Each family can use a piece of white A4 paper as they wish.
However, it must include the following:
Please allow your child to decorate it, draw on it, write on it and add a photo of them cooking it.
This is a book that they are making for another child.
There are no limits although the recipe and cooking method must be legible post decoration.
